Applications for building permits are obtained from the website or from the Village Hall. Completed applications and the appropriate fee is submitted to the Village Hall. Applications received by close of business on Monday afternoon are typically reviewed by the Code Enforcement Officer on Tuesday morning. If the permit cannot be issued after the initial review the Code Enforcement Officer will issue a Plan Review Document that will provide information on additional material or information that is required in order to issue the permit.
Use these forms when submitting an application for new construction, alterations and additions to existing structures, tennis court, pool, driveway, patio, deck, air conditioner, electrical upgrade, propane tank, generator, oil tank installation and abandonment, etc. YOU MUST ALSO PRINT AND COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE NASSAU COUNTY ASSESSMENT FORM FOR RESIDENTIAL, COMMERCIAL / MIXED-USE, OR PUBLIC UTILITY, available below. If the application is for a new building, alteration and/or addition to an existing building, accessory structure, etc., you must also complete the Zoning Analysis form available below. Requirements for Applications for a Building Permits vary depending on the type and amount of work proposed. For additional information contact the Deputy Clerk or the Clerk / Treasurer. All fees must be paid at the time the application is submitted. Applicants will be notified of any additional fees that may apply by the Deputy Clerk.
