Responsibilities & Services
The Highway Department performs minor road repairs including cold-patch and crack sealing. In addition, the Department cleans catch basins and maintain lawns of village property. The Highway Department is also responsible for maintaining and cleaning Village Hall and the Police Booth, maintaining all vehicles including oil changes, greasing, etc.. and emptying debris on a daily basis from the beach, dock and Village Hall.
The Laurel Hollow Highway Department has the responsibility for care and maintenance of all Village strees, facilites and parks.
Services include:
- Maintenance of 12 miles of Village roads
- Snow and ice removal
- Minor road and curb repairs and pothole patching
- Remove dead animals from Village roads
- Maintain roadway and storm drainage systems
- Storm sewer and catch basin maintenance
- Mowing and maintenance at all Village parks and facilities
- Inspection of contractor work within the road right of way
- Maintenance of acres of Village property

- grass cutting
- overall care of grounds and structures
- Trimming of right of way trees in order to maintain safe roadways
